Our Vision
Creality is year-round and intends to be here for generations, “For we are on the Country of the ancient world. Our neighbours are here where the earth’s crust was formed. In Mt Magnet and at Burrup Peninsula (Murujuga) the relatives of our community members lived through two ice ages and left a million petroglyphs. And here in the Gascoyne, the Stromatolites in Shark Bay, the oldest living organisms, Burringurrah (Mt Augustus) the largest monocline in the world, the Gascoyne River, the longest in Western Australia, an upside-down river from which the region grows tonnes of fresh produce every year – these inform our work which is in and of this place. This Country calls, it calls for a linking, for a bonding, for it always was a region of crossroads, a link between north and south, summer and winter. The Gascoyne calls. It calls back and nurtures us, enabling Creality to play its part in linking people and to deliver enriching arts and culture experiences throughout the Gascoyne and to the world.
Our artistic commitment is to amplify the best of the human condition via the delivery of an annual program of joyful, high quality, multi-sensory arts experiences. Through Creality, GiM creates legacy, builds industry, facilitates healing and remedies isolation by connecting people via great art.
In building an arts sector, GiM grows the artistic practice and the contemporary cultural landscape of the Gascoyne.
“We value sincerity, depth and courage in art. Our art engages with the complexity and diversity of Australian society [specific to the Gascoyne]. We cultivate shared experiences which are accessible and inspiring. The art we produce, deliver and tour bonds individuals into a community by linking people to place, to each other and to the present. Our projects define a ‘place for everyone’ and promote an experience of belonging.”

Generational
Generational/intergenerational – our ambition to be generational and intergenerational ensures that we learn from each other and open ourselves to new approaches with the resilience that is typical of Gascoyne people.
Respect
We respect the customs, choices, needs and ambitions of all those we work with and stay relevant to our communities by caring for and nurturing their aspirations.
Our Key Goals
Three Key Goals were developed to form the framework for a series of strategies and actions to guide the organisation through the next three years, fulfill its purpose and achieve its vision.
Deliver an excellent, artistically vibrant year-round program.
Build capacity and develop career pathways for creatives - Indigenous and non-Indigenous.
Achieve organisational sustainability by securing GiM’s financial future and strengthening its governance.
