Most of the travelling happens on sealed roads with good road signage. For your trip to the Festival of Fire we have put together some directions for you. Make sure you print these out as there will be no phone reception! 

Three options to Mount Augustus Tourist Park. 

Please fuel up, check your tyres and set your odometer to 0

Option 1: Via Kennedy Range National Park 304km

  1. From Gascoyne Junction turn left over the bridge onto Illawarra Road, past Temple Gorge turnoff. Continue straight on the Illawarra Road 

  2. At 188km turn right onto Gifford Road - direction Cobra Creek. 

  3. At 244km pass Cobra Station and continue onto Cobra Road to Mt Augustus Tourist Park. 

Option 2: Via Cobra/Dairy Creek Road - 272km 

  1. From Gascoyne Junction travel on Carnarvon Mullewa Road for 78km 

  2. Turn left onto Cobra Dairy Creek Road.

  3. At 222km you will pass Cobra Station 

  4. Turn onto Cobra Station Road toward Mt Augustus Tourist Park

Option 3: Via Burringurrah Remote Community - 306km 

  1. From Gascoyne Junction travel on Carnarvon Mullewa Road for 109km 

  2. Turn left onto the Glenburgh Road/Dalgety Downs

  3. at 208km turn left at T-Junction onto Landor/Mt Augustus Road

  4. at 300km turn left onto Mt Augustus/Woodlands Road

  5. at 306km Mt Augustus Tourist Park will be on your right-hand side
